AdFoc.us might be one of your best options for earning money by shortening URLs.

I have earned $1,980 in 3 months with AdFoc.us so far, averaging about 14-30 dollars per day. Given that in those 3 months my links have obtained 1,085,478 clicks, which makes for a ~$1.83 CPM (per 1000 clicks).

I am a bit disappointed with that, as their site advertises a payout rate of $26.25 CPM. However, their support has been outstanding and I even got to contact the CEO of the company for questions. They also have different services such as custom headers for premium users.

All-in-all a great experience.
